Fei Shen is a registered patent attorney who focuses his practice on patent prosecution and counseling in the computer, software and electronics industries with technical expertise on, but not limited to, network technologies, enterprise systems, database systems, graphics processing, computer security, search technologies, big data, mobile applications, communication protocols, smart devices, social media, video games, and automated business infrastructure. Mr. Shen has experience in developing patent filing strategies, preparing and prosecuting U.S. and international patent applications, providing opinions on patentability, validity or infringement with respect to intellectual property rights, conducting due diligence investigations, performing post-grant actions, providing litigation support and other like services.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Shen worked as a patent associate in the San Diego office of an international law firm where he secured patent protection for Fortune 100 companies as well as start-ups, and where he was also a member of the litigation team representing a major international telecommunication equipment manufacturer. Previously, Mr. Shen worked as an associate in the Indianapolis office of an international law firm where he drafted and prosecuted electronic patent applications, and provided litigation support.

Prior to launching his legal career, Mr. Shen spent more than eight years as a computer engineer with Teradata Corporation in El Segundo, California, Teradyne Corporation in Agoura Hills, California, and Nationwide Insurance in Columbus, Ohio.

Mr. Shen holds a law degree from Boston University School of Law. During his third year at law school, Mr. Shen also attended UCLA School of Law as a visiting student.

Mr. Shen is a native Mandarin Chinese speaker.
