Gentry Sayad focuses his practice on international transactions, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) and compliance issues and issues relating to intellectual property, dispute resolution, government relations, and China in-bound and out-bound investment. He also has a background in general commercial litigation. Mr. Sayad’s industry experience includes clients in the manufacturing, automotive, healthcare, energy, insurance, and agricultural industries and he has represented private equity firms in relation to investments and transactions throughout Asia. He also has extensive experience representing not-for-profit and educational institutions.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Sayad worked as the Managing Partner in the Shanghai office of two international law firms where he advised clients throughout Asia, including Hong Kong, India, Vietnam, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia, on an array of business issues including government relations, mergers and acquisitions, FCPA/compliance issues, employment, intellectual property, antitrust, trade and regulatory matters and market entry strategies. Previously, he worked as a partner in the St. Louis office of a national law firm and he relocated to Shanghai in 2005 to manage the office there for the firm. He currently serves as the Legal Advisor to the Board of Governors of the American Chamber of Commerce Shanghai. Mr. Sayad also served as the Director of the State of Missouri Department of Economic Development China Trade and Investment Office and the Department of Agriculture.

If you do convey information, you recognize that we may review and disclose the information, and you agree that even if you regard the information as highly confidential and even if it is transmitted in a good faith effort to retain us, such a review does not preclude us from representing another client directly adverse to you, even in a matter where that information could be used against you.
