Kitty Miao is a paralegal in the Kilpatrick Townsend Shanghai Office. Ms. Miao has worked for three international law firms since 2005. Ms. Miao has served as Office Manager for two firms and in 2010 began supporting the firm’s practice as a paralegal and timekeeper. She works regularly with foreign employees of multinational corporations who work in Asia, helping them negotiate customs, registrations and exit/entry requirements, timing and any regulatory violations in those areas. Ms. Miao supports Kilpatrick Townsend’s attorneys in labor matters and in compliance investigations and reviews including due diligence document reviews, training translations, and participation in focused interviews of personnel. Ms. Miao speaks Mandarin and Shanghai dialect fluently and speaks English.

Translating anticorruption presentations at live trainings into Mandarin Chinese or local dialect.

Assisting in interviews of key personnel during risk assessments or investigative interviews.

Review and analysis of documentation produced in the course of investigations or due diligence reviews during M&A projects.
