Lily Sun works with the firm’s attorneys in all phases of Chinese patent counseling and prosecution for clients in a variety of technology fields. Her experience includes case management; drafting correspondence and prosecution documents; preparing status reports; conducting electronic patent searches; reviewing and updating files; and researching technical references, patents and legal issues. Ms. Sun joined the firm in December 2012 as a Paralegal and later trained to become a Patent Specialist and Case Assistant. She also assists with litigation and business development in China.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Sun worked as a lawyer/counsel at Talking China International Corp. in Shanghai, China where she managed its legal department, drafted and reviewed documents, and was a project manager for key clients. Previously, Ms. Sun was in intern in the legal department of Timken (China) Investment Co., Ltd. in Shanghai, China where she was responsible for TDS business contracts and translation of various kinds of law documents.

At East China University of Political Science and Law, Ms. Sun majored in international economic law which includes basic civil, criminal and business law and international trade, investment and economic law.

Ms. Sun is fluent in English.
